How you’re going to create $1 million, in a nutshell

Welcome back to the email series that teaches you how to use your business to generate your first (or next) $1 million in net worth.

But… how exactly does your business generate wealth?

Before we jump in - if you’re enjoying this new email series, then please share with your business besties so we can all profit + prosper together! You can forward this email or send this link to a friend. It truly means a lot!

“Wealth” means a lot of things, depending on who you’re talking to.

Being wealthy can mean you have money to afford the things you want in life.

Being wealthy can also mean you have time freedom.

Time freedom means you aren’t beholden to anyone, and is probably one of the biggest reasons you decided to start your own business.

Time is not a renewable resource, so yes, I value time more than money.

That said, having money does generally result in more time freedom. And on the flip side, not having money usually means you have to keep working and can’t spend your time the way you truly want.

For purposes of Millionaire Mondays, you can expect me to talk a lot about how to generate more money as a path to time freedom.

This is really one of my core beliefs and drives everything I do. How can I help you create wealth as a path to reaching all your goals and living the life you want?

I picture your business being like an engine. You, the founder, went out and got allllll the parts of the engine and put them together, one by one. You turned it on and did some troubleshooting to figure out what the loud clanking noise was. You’ve hit the gas pedal, and had to hit the brakes a few times too when things got rough.

Now, we’re going to fine-tune the engine so it runs as smoothly and efficiently as it possibly can.

It might be difficult to imagine becoming “wealthy” when you haven’t figured out how to consistently pay yourself, or get rid of your debt, or grow your business without feeling like you’re spending all your money.

When you're spending more time troubleshooting the loud noises than you are hitting the gas.

This is what I’m here for! Building wealth is not as hard as you might think it is, as long as you put some intention behind it. And since you’re here, I know you’re going to do that.

In a nutshell, here’s how you’re going to create $1 million from your business:

First, your business has to generate more money than it costs to keep it running, more often than not (aka cash flow).

Then, you have to intentionally invest that money into other stuff that will, in turn, create even more money (aka other income streams).

Finally, because you have something that generates cash flow, realize that other people will value that. Which means they’ll buy your business from you for lots of money in what I like to call a “net worth event” (aka your business valuation).

So, your business will create wealth for you in two ways - by generating money for you to invest, and by having innate value because it generates money.

But here’s the point I want to drive home - This is all possible for you.

There is no reason - NO REASON - why you can’t do this.

I am going to walk you through it all, start to finish.

You can see that it all starts with cash flow, which we’re going to dive into next week.

Until then,

- Sarah
